This is called – Pelger-Huet Anomoly
Normal neutrophil nucleus is multilobed – 3–5 segments joined by thin strands
Nucleus of neutrophil – unusual shape [bilobed, peanut or dumbbell-shaped]

  • Pelger–Huët anomaly is a blood laminopathy associated with the lamin B receptor,
  • Neutrophils and Eosinophils – have nuclei with unusual shape [bilobed, peanut or dumbbell-shaped]
  • Unusual structure (coarse and lumpy)
