Why individuals with Congenital heart disease associated due to Down Syndrome are more prone for pulmonary hypertension?

[D] Proinflammatory genes
- The rate of congenital heart disease in newborns with Down syndrome is around 40%.
- 80% have an atrial septal defect or ventricular septal defect
- ASD is commonest finding.
- People with Down syndrome have a lower risk of Atherosclerosis
